This Privacy Policy explains how Bynum Enterprises ("Renterra," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Renterra platform at renterra.app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to: rental companies ("Tenants") who run a business on Renterra; visitors to renterra.app; and the renters who book through a Tenant's storefront. Note that each Tenant is an independent business and the controller of its own renters' data — see section 10.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, business name, email address, chosen site address, and login credentials (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).

Tenant business data

The information you add to run your business: inventory, categories, photos, pricing, delivery and fulfillment settings, customer records, quotes, and bookings.

Renter booking data

When a renter books through a Tenant storefront, we process the details they provide — such as name, contact information, delivery address, event dates, and the items requested — on the Tenant's behalf.

Payment information

Card payments are handled by Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers. We receive limited billing metadata (such as plan, subscription status, and the last four digits or a payment token) needed to manage subscriptions and usage billing.

Usage & device data

We collect basic technical and usage information automatically — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and product analytics events — to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. See section 6.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account;
  • To process subscriptions, per-booking usage fees, and AI credit purchases;
  • To enable your storefront, bookings, notifications, and admin features;
  • To send transactional and lifecycle emails (for example, confirmations, receipts, and account notices);
  • To provide support and respond to your requests;
  • To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
  • To analyze and improve the Service and develop new features;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers (processors) who help us run the Service — see section 5;
  • Between a Tenant and its renters — booking data flows to the Tenant who operates the storefront, so they can fulfill the booking;
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Renterra, our users, or the public;
  • In a business transfer — if Renterra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Service providers

We rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Resend — transactional and lifecycle email delivery.
  • Anthropic — powering optional AI features such as the AI website builder.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting.
  • Vercel — web hosting and content delivery.

6. Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and to keep you signed in, and we may use analytics to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit some features (for example, staying logged in).

7. Data retention

We keep account and business data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we retain data only as long as necessary to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can request earlier deletion as described below.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and row-level access controls that isolate each Tenant's data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials safe.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your information;
  • Export a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link, or contact us).

To exercise any of these, contact us at bynumenterprisesbe@gmail.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law. If you are a renter, please direct requests about your booking data to the rental company you booked with (see below).

10. Renters & tenant data

When you book through a storefront on Renterra, the rental company that operates that storefront is the controller of your booking data, and Renterra acts as its processor. The rental company's own privacy practices govern how they use your information. For access, correction, or deletion of booking data, contact the rental company directly; we will assist them as needed.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International users

Renterra is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice) and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
